<p>[dropcap]S[/dropcap]epanjang sejarah. Raffles Singapore telah mengalami renovasi besar-besaran sebanyak dua kali. Yang pertama bergulir pada 1989-1991 dan melahirkan dua kreasi terpentingnya, yaitu Raffles Hotel Museum dan Jubilee Hall.</p>
<p>Lalu pada 2017, hotel legendaris ini kembali menggelar renovasi. Fase pertama mencakup peremajaan beberapa gerai F&amp;B dan zona belanja. Fase kedua dimulai di pertengahan Agustus 2017 dengan cakupan sejumlah kamar dan gerai Writers Bar.</p>
<p>Selama proses renovasi, beberapa fasilitas seperti spa, kolam renang, dan pusat kebugaran ditutup. Pada fase ketiga yang bergulir mulai akhir 2017, hotel ditutup sepenuhnya dan akhirnya resmi dibuka kembali dengan wajah baru pada 1 Agustus 2019.</p>
<p>Meskipun mengalami perombakan total, fasad hotel yang bernaung di bawah jaringan Accor tersebut dipertahankan karena statusnya sebagai cagar budaya. &#8220;Raffles Singapore merupakan salah satu dari sedikit hotel besar abad ke-19 yang masih beroperasi di dunia,&#8221; ujar Christian Westbeld, selaku General Manager Raffles Singapore seperti dikutip dari keterangan resminya.</p>

<p>Desain interiornya diotaki oleh Alexandra Champalimaud yang bekerja sama dengan Aedas, perusahaan arsitektur dan desain terkemuka. Usai direnovasi, Raffles Singapore kini menaungi 115 <em>suite</em> dengan sembilan kategori: Studio Suites, State Room Suites, Courtyard Suites, Palm Court Suites, Personality Suites, Residence Suites, Promenade Suites, Grand Hotel Suites, dan Presidential Suites. Untuk urusan perut, para tamu bakal dimanjakan dengan kehadiran tiga restoran baru, yakni BBR By Alain Ducasse, Yi By Jereme Leung, dan Butcher’s Block yang semuanya dikomandani oleh koki berbintan Michelin.</p>
