[dropcap type=&#8221;default&#8221;]T[/dropcap]iap tahun Michelin mengeluarkan Michelin Guide untuk restoran-restoran dengan menu dan layanan impresif. Namun selain itu, perusahaan tersebut juga merilis Bib Gourmand, daftar generik dengan merangkum kedai atau restoran yang menyajikan menu menggugah selera dengan harga ramah di kantong sesuai standar tiap kota yang menerbitkan.
Tahun ini, Michelin meluncurkan daftar 50 kedai dan restoran yang menerima Bib Gourmand di Singapura. Jumlahnya meningkat dari 38 tempat di tahun lalu. Menariknya, tahun ini daftar tersebut didominasi oleh kedai-kedai di hawker center. Setidaknya ada 28 kedai yang diakui menyajikan hidangan yang menggugah selera dengan harga berkisar antara 3-5 dolar Singapura per porsi.
Bib Gourmand melakukan debutnya pada 1997. Daftar tempat makan tiap tahunnya dipilih oleh ahli dari Michelin dengan syarat utama: harga makannya tak lebih dari S$45. Bandingkan dengan restoran-restoran di Michelin Guide yang menjual menunya dengan harga sekitar S$400 per orang.
