[dropcap]A[/dropcap]jang penghargaan Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants telah melansir daftar restorannya. Den di Tokyo sukses menduduki posisi puncak, sementara Sorn (Bangkok) menghuni peringkat kedua, diikuti oleh Florilege (Tokyo).
Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants diciptakan oleh perusahaan media William Reed. Daftar restoran terbaik versinya didapatkan lewat sistem rekomendasi dan voting yang melibatkan 300 pakar kuliner.

Seperti tahun-tahun sebelumnya, Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2022 didominasi oleh empat negara: Jepang, Thailand, Singapura, dan Tiongkok. Tahun ini, di luar keempat negara tersebut, hanya ada wakil dari Korea Selatan, India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, serta Taiwan.
Tahun ini, Jepang memiliki 11 wakil—terbanyak di Asia. Di luar Den dan Florilege, resto Negeri Sakura yang masuk daftar 50 terbaik antara lain La Cime, Sazenka, Ode, serta Narisawa.

Membayangi Jepang ialah Thailand yang menempatkan sembilan restoran, meningkat dari enam restoran pada 2021. Selain Sorn, wakil Thailand tahun ini contohnya Le Du, Suhring, Nusara, serta Sushi Masato.
Tak ada wakil dari Indonesia. Terakhir kali resto asal Indonesia menembus Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants terjadi pada 2020. Waktu itu, Locavore yang berlokasi di Ubud menduduki peringkat ke-37.
